Meet Our Education Partners

AIM LogoThe AIM Institute is a not-for-profit membership organization that provides information technology leadership to Nebraska and the surrounding region. Through the Compassion Institute of the Midlands (CIM) acting as intermediary agency for the Department of Health and Human Services, AIM awarded a $15,000.00 capacity building grant to the Housing Foundation to support its mission and build sustainability.


Bellevue University Logo

Bellevue University donates computers for participants returning to school and a resident computer lab.  The University has assigned an admissions counselor to assist Housing Foundation participants with educational planning, and also provides meeting space for Family Self Sufficiency programs and activities.

Education Quest Logo

EducationQuest Foundation provides free tools and services to help individuals attend college by exploring careers, find the right college, find ways to pay for college and complete the FAFSA application. (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)  It will provide onsite education preparation training for Housing Foundation participants in 2011 and is available to assist participants with college planning as needed to achieve their self sufficiency goals.

Financial Success ProgramThe Financial Hope Collaborative will teach a Financial Success Program for Housing Foundation participants in the Family Self Sufficiency Program.  The Collaborative offers programs and tools to help working families succeed financially and achieve their dream of financial independence and home ownership. 



Kroc Logo



Metropolitan Community College is a two year community college which provides credit and non-credit education for the metropolitan area.  It has established a scholarship fund to assist Bellevue Housing Authority residents, and is providing technical assistance to the Housing Foundation through executive staff who sit on the Foundation Advisory Board.

Shopko is a key partner in their support of the Kicks for Kids Program.  Their partnership lets us provide shoe vouchers for school bound children served by Bellevue Housing Authority.

    American Heart Association CPR, First Aid & Basic Life Support Training.  Heartsaver CPR offers our participants have the option of taking BLS or basic CPR/First Aid for a monthly educational class for our Family Self Sufficiency program 

At the Shadow Lake location chef Keith provides a cooking class with healthy and affordable meals for a monthly educational class for our Family Self Sufficiency program. 


For nearly a century, Boys Town has helped save children and heal families at the brink of tragedy by giving them the support they need to turn their lives around.  Bellevue Housing Authority and Boys Town are partnering to offer the Common Sense Parenting classes in Sarpy County.

 FPU presents practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!  We offer this 9 week course to our Family Self Sufficiency clients. 


Since 1974 to the present, the Bank of Nebraska remains one of the driving forces in hometown banking and real estate lending.  It is our mission to be the preferred provider of banking services and home mortgages in the Greater Omaha and surrounding communities.  Lori Bickford (Vice President) sits on our board and also offers a budgeting 101 class to our Family Self Sufficiency participants.
